Carpentry and marble Fireplace Upgrade

This is a before, during and after picture of a large project where I did many other things in a town home before the homeowners moved in.

IMAG1251-A

A lot of details and some engineering was involved  to accommodate the old TV opening to the new swing-out big screen TV panel, a hidden access panel on the closet side and a cubbyhole for components.

IMAG1251-B

All came together with the customized fine carpentry detailing along with the beautiful marble like tile work and finishing aluminum trim-out around the burner unit. I have to admit, it turned out to be a real masterpiece for this new home.

Hardwood Flooring

petestewart : December 27, 2015 10:43 pm : Carpentry, Decorating, Home Maintenance

Mood Warming wood floors will always be in style. With solid wood’s longevity, low maintenance, allergen reduction and increased home valuation, it’s an easy choice over carpet or tile any day of the year.. I recently installed this at a wonderful home in Valparaiso, Indiana.

It was a challenging job because the color range and lengths varied a lot from box to box, so to get a consistent look,I had to mix several boxes together and move them around like a puzzle. It turned out great when it was done and the homeowners loved it!

Glass Shower Installation

A look of lasting enhancement without the look of purpose.

Being clean and beautiful, yet nearly invisible, leaves the tile work to treat visual senses.

Painting and caulking with care. Doing the job right, makes it all worth it in the end.

Yes, that’s me, Pete Stewart, doing my thing on a ladder in Winfield, Indiana in a nicely

kept subdivision called Double Tree.

Ah… what a beautiful day to be pushing a new coat

Install Light Fixtures and Hang Pictures

petestewart : June 17, 2015 2:23 am : Carpentry, Decorating, Electrical, Home Maintenance

When you need to update that light fixture or have a few pictures hung with a symmetric look, I can help you without a problem. In these pictures I was able to hang the paintings in one shot, just like the home owner wanted.

The Light I installed about 3 years later. Because the light is so high, it’s a lot larger than it seems, pretty heavy, too. Had to use some special ladders, but it sure turned out nice. I have to say, she was very pleased.

Laundry room Fix

petestewart : February 15, 2015 2:05 pm : Decorating, Home Maintenance, Plumbing

Sometimes what you don’t see, you you don’t realize all the work involved.

It’s also good to take a picture before you cover it up with drywall incase

there is a problem or something needs to be changed.
